It's Oscar time, and we are already seeing Desi's being nominated in categories for the most famous Awards show in Hollywood. Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy has made Pakistan proud as she the first Pakistani filmmaker to receive an Oscar nomination for film 'Saving Face' in the 'Documentary, Short Film' category. Sharmeen has directed several documentaries and won an Emmy Award in 2010 for her documentary 'Pakistan: Children of the Taliban.'

"Saving Face" is the story of a British-Pakistani plastic surgeon who donates his time to heal acid-attack victims in Pakistan.
